For Immediate Release:
White named Associate Director of Advancement for Saint Albert Catholic Schools
Saint Albert Catholic Schools has announced Kevin White will be joining the advancement team. He’ll be responsible for all donor relations and engagement efforts, including advancement plans for the school’s annual fund, major gifts, planned giving and capital campaigns.
White, a longtime resident of Council Bluffs, is looking forward to joining the Saint Albert staff.
“I am thrilled and honored to join the Saint Albert Catholic Schools in a full-time capacity, and to be entrusted with this new position. I am excited to play a key role in helping Saint Albert not only achieve its financial goals, but to thrive,” said White. “It is important that a full, robust Catholic education is available to our community for generations to come, and I’m committing all of my energy to ensure that.”
White and his late wife, Jill, are parents to daughter, Bailey, a 2019 graduate of Saint Albert and son, Carter, a sophomore at the school. Previously, White was employed by The Daily Nonpareil and Omaha World-Herald for the past 28 years, most recently as the Western Iowa Sports Coordinator. He is already familiar with the Saint Albert community and currently serves as a varsity boys assistant basketball coach.
“I believe those who have Saint Albert’s best interests at heart are many, whether they live in the area or not, or whether they are still directly connected to the school or not,” White shared. “Regardless of the level of their current connection, I look forward to communicating the school’s vision and direction to all who share an affinity for Saint Albert.”
Saint Albert, which recently went through an administrative restructuring, welcomes the opportunity to expand its advancement staff. Deacon Vernon Dobelmann, Executive Director of Saint Albert, is looking forward to White bringing his vast knowledge to the team. “I am excited to have Kevin join our leadership team at Saint Albert as the Associate Director of Advancement. He is a well-respected professional in our community, and he is passionate about the mission and purpose of Saint Albert. His knowledge and expertise in a multitude of areas will be put to good use as we strive to enhance the image and stature of Saint Albert Catholic Schools.”
“Under the strong, steady guidance of our new Executive Director, Deacon Vernon Dobelmann, and our new Leadership Team, I believe great things are in store for Saint Albert, and I can’t wait to begin my part in the journey,” said White.
