Saint Albert Catholic Schools has named Todd Tarbox as its head boys soccer coach.
Tarbox is well known and well respected within the Council Bluffs and Omaha soccer communities. He has coached various CBYSA teams for about 10 years, and he’s coached with the Nebraska FC club program for five years, where he’s currently the head coach of its U15 boys team.
Tarbox assisted the high school program at Thomas Jefferson from 2008 to 2016, and spent the 2019 season as an assistant at Saint Albert.
“I’m very excited to be back coaching Iowa high school soccer,’’ Tarbox said. “I’m looking forward to the future of Saint Albert boys soccer and can’t wait to get back to working with the players.’’
Tarbox replaces Tom Lorkovic, who was either head coach or co-head coach at the school for 19 years and led the program to seven state appearances before his retirement.
Saint Albert activities director Ken Schreiber said he’s pleased with the hiring.
“I feel Todd will do a great job as our new head boys soccer coach,’’ he said. “His experience as an assistant high school and club coach will be a great asset to our program.”
