Flanagan hired as Associate Director of Alumni Relations
COUNCIL BLUFFS – Saint Albert Catholic Schools has announced that Katie Flanagan has been named Associate Director of Alumni Relations. Flanagan will begin her position on Dec. 9.
Flanagan previously was employed at First National Bank, where she worked in the marketing department for five years. “I am so excited to join Saint Albert’s advancement team and to lead the school’s alumni efforts,” Flanagan said. “I am blessed to be given the opportunity to combine my experience, skills and talents with an organization that I’m truly passionate about.”
“Katie will bring energy, expertise and passion to this position. I am grateful to have her as a new member of our team,” said Deacon Vernon Dobelmann, Executive Director of Saint Albert Catholic Schools. Job duties will include coordinating events and updating alumni records and databases, along with welcoming alumni to remain part of the Saint Albert community after they leave the building.
Katie and her husband, Tim, have four children who attend Saint Albert Catholic Schools and the Sheryl K. Johnson Child Care Center. “Our journey leading us to Saint Albert was unique, since Tim and I weren’t immediately connected to the school,” Katie Flanagan said. “We were overwhelmed, from our first interaction on, with the caring and friendliness we consistently experienced with Saint Albert parents and staff. The welcoming, inclusive and family-oriented environment is unlike any we have ever experienced.
“It’s comforting to know that we all have a common goal of providing a holistic education in a positive faith and values-based environment.”
Flangan will be joining Kevin White, Associate Director of Advancement; JoAnn Jensen, Director of Enrollment and School Relations; and Deacon Dobelmann on the advancement team at Saint Albert.
“I have experienced first-hand the value that Catholic education adds to a young individual’s life,’’ Flanagan said. “I am passionate about the school’s mission and can’t wait to start telling our story throughout the community.
“With the combined strengths and talents of the advancement team and under the strong leadership of Deacon Dobelmann, Saint Albert Catholic Schools is going to thrive more than ever. I can’t wait to be a part of the success to come. Now is an exciting time to be a part of the St. Albert family.”
