Dear Families,

We have great news about school meals!

I know every parent received an email last week, but I wanted to check in to give you more details.  Saint Albert Catholic School is excited to announce that we have been approved to offer ›› FREE MEALS TO ALL CHILDREN (18 YEARS & YOUNGER) ‹‹

Who can get free meals?

Any student, whether they are doing in-person learning at school or virtual/remote learning at home, can get free meals.

When does this start?

Free meals are available NOW.  The program started Monday, September 21, 2020.

Where are the free meals available?

Meals are provided in the elementary gym and MS/HS cafeteria.  Breakfast is served beginning at 7:30 am in both locations.  If you are a virtual student, you need to email handerk@saintalbertschools.org prior to 8:00 am to order food.  Lunch and breakfast for the next day will be sent home with the virtual student.

What is being served?

View the elementary and M/HS menus at https://saintalbertschools.org/menus/.

Why have things kept changing?

Our program has to follow certain rules set at the national level by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We have made changes based on what is allowed by the USDA.

How can I learn more?

If you have questions, please contact the Student Nutrition Services Department at handerk@saintalbertschools.org.

Sincerely,

Karen Hander
