Re: Saint Albert Announces Athletic Director
Saint Albert Catholic Schools has named Kenneth Schreiber as the athletic director for the upcoming school year. Schreiber was most recently serving the school system as assistant principal in the middle and high school as well as activities director.
Schreiber, a 1974 Saint Albert graduate, began his Saint Albert teaching career in 1987. During his time at Saint Albert, 48 teams have qualified for state tournaments and competitions, earned 12 state championships, in addition to earning the Iowa Traveling Challenge Cup six times. Most recently, the school earned this award in 2018, which is based on academics, fine arts, athletics and other student activities.
During Schreiber’s career, he has served in the Iowa HIgh School Athletics Directors Association (IHSADA), IHSADA President in 2010-2011, Southwest Iowa Officials Association, National High School Activities Directors Association, and the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association. In 2007, Schreiber was inducted into the Iowa Baseball Coaches’ Hall of Fame. He has also numerous other awards and accolades.
Schreiber’s vast knowledge in athletics, leadership, and passion for Saint Albert makes him a great addition to the incoming administration at Saint Albert Catholic Schools.

As our school year is quickly coming to a time to celebrate the end of the year, it is time I announce another end. At the end of this year, I will be finishing my 23rd year here at Saint Albert, which will complete my time here. Beginning in July, I will be working at Saint Philip Neri, in Omaha.
Since joining Saint Albert in 1995, I am proud to have been a part of the accomplishments Saint Albert has made throughout these 23 years.
I am thankful to the staff that have worked with me through the years at the building on 9th Avenue; through building the new elementary and childcare center and thankful for their wonderful time and commitment to Saint Albert while I have been here.
While I am preparing to complete my time here at Saint Albert, I look forward to seeing all of you in the community and here while we celebrate the 2018-2019 school year.
Wishing you the best,
