The St. Albert extended family is deeply saddened by the passing of Elise Campbell. Elise was a proud 2000 St. Albert graduate and the daughter of longtime SA supporters, Tim & Lynn Vogel. Elise was a heart transplant survivor and fought a valiant battle against cancer. Elise’s classmates, friends, former and current staff members will gather at St. Albert to watch the service Saturday – all are welcome. Elise was deep and devout in her Christian faith and would no doubt appreciate continued prayers for her husband, Nathan, sister, and her entire family. Please also join now in praying for the repose of Elise’s soul…
Eternal rest grant unto Elise O Lord: And let perpetual light shine upon her.
May Elise rest in peace. Amen
May Elise’s soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy of God our Father rest in peace. Amen

Saint Albert Families,
Per Governor Reynolds proclamation, all youth sports and activities are suspended. This includes elementary, middle school, and PAL basketball, wrestling, dance, etc. Practices and games are NOT allowed during this time starting TODAY.
Due to last weeks’ proclamation, we have edited our winter guidelines. You can view those guidelines at https://saintalbertschools.org/rosters/. If you have any questions concerning athletics, please email Ken Schreiber, Athletic Director, at schreiberk@saintalbertschools.org.
The Saint Albert administration wanted to clarify hybrid learning that was mentioned last week in communication. We are not currently planning to implement this option, but wanted to reiterate a possible change in schedule. Your student’s daily schedules will remain the same as their 8 period day. Their teachers will communicate with them via Google Classroom, which is also how they will “attend” class.

Dear Saint Albert Community,
The administration wanted to take the time to update the community concerning the coronavirus, especially after Governor Reynolds’ press conference on Tuesday morning regarding the increase in positive cases in the state of Iowa.
Although we finished our first quarter in the middle of the pandemic, with few interruptions, we implore all of our families to continue to take safety precautions to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
General Reminders
Please continue to practice:
Athletics and Activities
After this morning, there are further guidelines that warrant communicating with our families:
Academics
This summer, we published our return to learn plan, which is still available on the school’s website. With the increase in cases, we want to remind everyone about the hybrid learning model. Although we are not currently pursuing this option, we want our community to be mindful that it may become necessary to implement this learning model to keep our staff and students safe. Please consider what arrangements will need to be made to accommodate your household.

At this point, we have not reported positive cases building-wide due to FERPA regulations and guidance from the Department of Education. If your child may be linked by contact tracing, an administrator or one of the school nurses will be in contact with the child’s parent.
We continue to pray for all of those affected by the coronavirus.
Saint Albert the Great, pray for us!
God Bless You,
Anne Rohling ’82
President
