Parent Support Group

General Information

Who:

All parents with children in the Primary and Intermediate grades are automatically members!

What:

The Parent Support Group (PSG) supports Primary and Intermediate teachers and staff and provides for items not typically included in the school budget. Some examples include:

• Christmas and Valentine's Day parties -- provide crafts, snacks and volunteers

• Teacher Appreciation Week and Catholic Schools Week -- provide teacher gifts, teacher and staff food (breakfast/lunch/bread/candies)

• Fall Book Fair -- provide organization and volunteers

• Funding for field trips and miscellaneous needs of the Primary and Intermediate Groups

• Volunteer for tasks as needed by the teachers and staff

How:

The people of PSG provide a combination of time, talent and treasures to accomplish all this! Whether spending time on event preparation, answering phone calls in the school offices, helping with the crafts at classroom parties, baking bread for Catholic Schools Week, organizing fund-raisers or donating to the various collections, PSG offers the opportunity for each family to contribute to the success of the school and the children we serve.

When and Where:

Opportunities to be involved will occur throughout the year. You may participate as often as fits your schedule and talents. Attend meetings to talk with other parents, share ideas, and feel involved --no obligation necessary! Volunteer at any of the various events or offer to coordinate behind the scenes.

• To make Saint Albert an even better environment for our children

• To get to know other parents and families

• To have fun and to laugh!

Special Points of Interest:

• PSG will once again sponsor the uniform sale at registration. This year, representatives from Dennis Uniforms will on hand with samples of the new skorts and other uniform items so students can try them on!

• Our Spring Carnival is already in the works!

• Fall book fair provides not only books for you, but also needed funds and resources for both libraries!
