Fund-raising Events at Saint Albert

Annual drives, special events and the "Building for the 21st Century" capital campaign are all critical fund-raising programs at Saint Albert Catholic Schools. All need your financial support to help us bridge the gap between the actual cost of educating each child and what we charge for tuition. Please consider the following programs as you plan your charitable contributions this year.

Gifts to the Annual Support Program go directly to the operating fund, utilities and upkeep of our facilities. This year, we are focusing on "bridging the gap" between the amount of tuition charged and the actual cost of educating a student (about $1,200 per student).

The SA Backers (formerly called Century Club) provides funding for ten boys and nine girls athletic teams and extracurricular programs in Music, Speech, Drama, Economics, Math, Science, History, Band, Yearbook, Art and Journalism. In addition, the Club supports general academic enrichment programs including Destination Imagination, Academic Decathlon, Math Counts and Great Books. Membership in the Club gets you a FREE seat for your entire family at all Saint Albert home sporting events and fine arts productions, as well as recognition in all activity programs and Century Meal Tickets. The SA Backers membership drive kicks-off in July, but memberships can be purchased throughout the year.

Membership levels range from $200 to $5,000 with different perks for each level. New this year - for the $2,500 and $5,00 levels, members will receive reserved parking for fall, winter and spring activities.

Members at all levels also will be invited to a "members only" tailgate party during football season and will be admitted to a hospitality suite during select basketball or volleyball games. Click on the link below for a membership form!

The Annual Benefit Auction is the school's largest fund-raising event. It includes a dinner and silent and oral auctions. Proceeds from the event are used for the school's general operating budget, allowing Saint Albert to offer high quality programs for our students. The Auction is held in April and more than 700 people attend the event each year. The 2008 Auction will be held on Saturday, April 19. Watch this website for more information.

Each year, Saint Albert sponsors a Large Raffle to help keep the cost of tuition affordable for families throughout southwest Iowa. Past prizes have included the "All-American Dream House," Corvette, Escalade and cash.
