FundraisersFundraising Events at Saint AlbertAnnual drives, special events and the "Building for the 21st Century" capital campaign are all critical fund-raising programs at Saint Albert Catholic Schools. All need your financial support to help us bridge the gap between the actual cost of educating each child and what we charge for tuition. Please consider the following programs as you plan your charitable contributions this year.
The Hilltop Fund (formerly the Annual Appeal)
For many years, Saint Albert has held its Annual Appeal to raise funds that positively impact the school. With the recent addition of the state-of-the-art Sheryl K. Johnson Child Care Center and elementary school, Saint Albert now provides a prolific experience to children six weeks old to high school seniors on its hilltop campus. With the continual progress and extension of our school atop the Gleason hill has inspired us to rename our annual fundraiser the Hilltop Fund. Gifts to the Hilltop Fund are the most effective way to improve the student experience on our Gleason campus. These gifts go to Saint Albert’s most immediate and greatest needs, such as enhancing our academic programs, increasing tuition assistance and scholarship support, and maintaining our facilities.
SA Backers
The SA Backers provides funding for all athletic teams and extracurricular programs in Music, Speech, Drama, Economics, Math, Science, History, Band, Yearbook, Art and Journalism. In addition, the SA Backers support general academic enrichment programs including Destination Imagination, Academic Decathlon, Math Counts and Battle of the Books. Membership in the Club gets you a FREE seat for your entire family at all Saint Albert home sporting events and fine arts productions, as well as recognition in all activity and fine arts programs. The 2011-2012 SA Backers membership can be purchased throughout the year. Membership levels range from $200 to $5,000 with different perks for each level.
Annual Benefit Auction & Raffle
The Annual Benefit Auction is the school's largest fundraiser. It includes a dinner and silent and oral auctions. Proceeds from the event are used for the school's general operating budget, allowing Saint Albert to offer high quality programs for our students. The Auction is held in April and more than 700 people attend the event each year. Each year, Saint Albert sponsors a Large Raffle to help keep the cost of tuition affordable for families throughout southwest Iowa. More details to come!
